Church members lay hands on a group being commissioned for ministry.

Our leaders

The Table has two co-lead pastors who share leadership equally, an associate pastor, a team of volunteer ministry directors, and a board of elders.

How we're led

Our co-lead pastors hold equal status and authority. When one acts, both have acted, and neither decides anything alone. The elders care for the church's financial and spiritual health and hold the pastors accountable.

When Tonetta isn't geeking out on the Bible or trying to piece together what God might be doing in this beautiful city, she is enjoying time with her wife, son, and daughter.

Our story

Kevin and Charla Lum started The Table with 12 people on March 17, 2013, and the church met at Emery UMC, Douglas UMC, the GALA Theatre, and First Congregational in its first years. Anthony Parrott became lead pastor in March 2020, just ahead of the pandemic, and The Table became fully affirming and antiracist. In 2019, Tonetta Landis-Aina had gathered Resurrection City DC, a BIPOC- and LGBTQ-led church; she joined The Table as associate pastor in 2021, the two churches merged, and in 2022 the church moved from pastor-led to elder-led governance. Today Tonetta and Anthony lead together as co-lead pastors.
